Patient Reviews
Hear from patients who have experienced exceptional care and results
"I was so impressed with my results, more than I could have ever imagined. We set a goal for my breathing and appearance, but he completely surprised me with my results and surpassed any expectations I had."
Not a Do-Over — A More Complex Operation
Revision rhinoplasty is regularly cited as among the most technically demanding procedures in facial plastic surgery. Prior surgery changes the cartilage and structural support available, and a result that looks or breathes wrong the first time is rarely fixed by simply repeating the original approach.
Functional concerns — breathing that was never addressed, or was made worse by prior surgery — are evaluated with the same rigor as appearance. Airway function and aesthetic outcome are treated as one evaluation, not two separate conversations.
Chicago & Oak Brook

Common Questions
What makes revision rhinoplasty more complex than a first-time procedure?
Prior surgery changes the underlying anatomy and often reduces the structural support and cartilage available to work with. Revision cases require honest assessment of what the previous surgery did — and did not — accomplish, and a realistic plan for what can still be improved.
How soon after my first rhinoplasty can I consider revision?
Final shape typically isn't apparent until 12 months after surgery, and swelling can persist beyond that in revision cases. Consultation can happen earlier to discuss options, but surgery is generally not recommended until healing is complete.
How do I know if my breathing problem is structural, or something else?
A structural airway evaluation — assessing the septum, turbinates, and nasal valves — is part of every consultation. Not every breathing complaint requires surgery; some are better addressed medically. An honest evaluation determines which applies to you.
Is functional (breathing) rhinoplasty ever covered by insurance?
Sometimes. "Blended" rhinoplasty refers to surgery that combines a functional (breathing) component with a cosmetic component. In these cases, the functional portion may be covered by insurance even though the cosmetic portion is not.
What should I bring to a revision rhinoplasty consultation?
Operative reports or details from your prior surgery, if available, are helpful — though not required to be evaluated.
Do you perform septoplasty and turbinate reduction as part of revision cases?
Yes. Structural airway correction is frequently addressed alongside cosmetic revision when indicated, rather than treated as a separate procedure.
How much does revision rhinoplasty cost?
Revision rhinoplasty starts at $8,000 for the surgeon's fee, reflecting the added complexity relative to primary rhinoplasty. Reflects the surgeon's fee only. Anesthesia and facility fees are billed separately and are not included in the amount shown. Your exact quote is provided after an in-person evaluation.
Can I start with a virtual consultation to discuss my prior surgery?
Yes. A virtual initial consultation is available to review what was done previously and discuss realistic options. An in-person exam is required before any surgery is scheduled.
