Most patients are in their late 40s–70s with meaningful facial laxity — jowling, neck looseness, or midface descent — who want results that last and look natural. Good skin elasticity and overall health are important factors. Patients who have had prior facelifts are evaluated individually.
Nonsurgical treatments (fillers, Botox, lasers) serve a different purpose and a different stage of aging. If you are at the point where those feel like diminishing returns, a facelift consultation is the next step.

What's the difference between deep plane and SMAS facelift?
A SMAS facelift tightens the superficial muscle layer. A deep plane goes deeper, releasing ligaments to reposition tissues rather than just pull them — producing more natural, longer-lasting results.
How long do results last?
Deep plane results typically last 10+ years. Aging continues, but you will consistently look younger than you would have without surgery.
Is a neck lift included?
Platysmaplasty (neck lift) is frequently performed in combination and is discussed based on your individual anatomy.
What if I only need a limited lift, not a full facelift?
For patients with earlier midface descent, an endoscopic hairline-hidden midface lift is available as a smaller procedure than a full deep plane facelift — see "Starting Investment" above for pricing. Which approach fits your anatomy is determined at consultation.
Where is surgery performed?
Surgery is performed at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital. Consultations are available in Chicago, Oak Brook, and Munster; making access straightforward for patients from Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Western Springs, Clarendon Hills, Elmhurst, and the surrounding western suburbs.
Do you see patients from the North Shore or Naperville area?
Yes. Patients travel regularly from Winnetka, Lake Forest, Wilmette, Naperville, and throughout the greater Chicago area. The level of subspecialty training available at an academic medical center is difficult to find closer to home.
Can I do a virtual consultation before coming in?
Yes. A virtual initial consultation is available to discuss your goals and get preliminary questions answered. An in-person exam is required before any surgery is scheduled.
